In this introduction to the field of the sonic arts, Julia Eckhardt will talk about her practice as a musician and co-director of the Q-O2 workspace for experimental music and sound art in Brussels, next to giving an overview of artistic examples of the diverse possibilities of working with and in sound. She will pay special attention to the composer and pioneer of electronic music Éliane Radigue, with whom she collaborates intensively as a musician and about whom she has published the book Intermediary Spaces.
